Learning Environment

We do our best to ensure that participants are in a safe and conducive learning environment. The Singapore Emergency Responder Academy, and all affiliated staff, will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage, including but not limited to suffering and death that may arise either directly or indirectly from the training sessions.

Cancellation or Postponement of Classes

SERA reserves the right to cancel or postpone any of its classes for reasons such as, but not limited to, insufficient sign-ups and instructor unavailability. In such events, students will be notified at least 2 days in advance and can choose to join another course intake. If the class is cancelled and not postponed, students can opt for a refund.

Punctuality

Any participants who are more than half an hour late for the class will be deemed as absent and not allowed to join the course. Refunds will not be given.

Declaration of Medical Conditions

The participant is responsible for declaring if he/she now or has ever been bothered with any medical illnesses like back trouble, joint injuries, spinal injuries, heart trouble and other physical conditions or medical disabilities or serious illness. The participant has to inform the trainer about any feelings of discomfort or illnesses that he/she feels at any time during the training session. In case of doubt, please consult your doctor.

Participants who are pregnant are strongly discouraged from joining the course. Pregnant participants who are beyond their first trimester are strictly not allowed to join the course. In case of doubt, please consult your doctor.

Appeal for Assessment and Practical Test Results

Any appeal in the assessment and practical results will be directed to the Training Manager for review. The result of the appeal will be deemed as final.

Participant Conduct

In the event any participant is caught being disruptive or dishonest, such as but not limited to, cheating during the assessments or forging any documents, SERA reserves the full right to terminate the enrolment of the student. The student is considered to have failed the module and no refunds will be issued.

Refund Policy

Fees paid are non-transferable and non-refundable, and such instances include if a student pays the fees but fails to turn up for class. The Singapore Emergency Responder Academy reserves the right to make changes to the course schedule. In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled, and not postponed, the student will be entitled to the refund of the course fees. In the event the student fails all attempts of any of the assessments, the student is deemed to have failed the course and no refunds will be given.
